How to select the right Weld-O-Glass solution
The proper selection of a high-temperature blanket material is related to a number of factors, such as durability, temperature, weight, abrasion resistance and workability. The application helps determine the most appropriate high-temperature blanket for successful protection.

Our research and experience has helped to categorize the most proficient materials available for different applications. Products for protection from sparks and minimal spatter (light duty), protection from sparks and heavy spatter (medium duty) and protection from molten slag generated by metal cutting applications (heavy duty) are available from our stock of more than 24 materials.

Wilson Industries recommends the use of multiple layers of blanket material to assure maximum protection.

See Weld-O-Glass chart.

Spark Protection – Light Duty
When the temperature begins to rise in an industrial environment or application, you can count on this selection of Weld-O-Glass blankets to provide necessary protection. Offering a working temperature protection rating up to 800 degrees, these blankets are suitable for draping equipment or for use as a vertical shield from the spray of sparks and minimal spatter.

The non-coated fiberglass materials used in the manufacture of our 1850 and 1000 series blankets provide an efficient shield when draped over equipment or flooring surfaces. Best when used on an angle incline of at least 15 degrees.

The coated fiberglass materials found in our 2000 and 3001 type blankets provide an excellent vertical screen to protect equipment and personnel from the spray of sparks.

Wilson Industries suggests the use of our high-temperature blanket products in multiple layers for proper safety and protection.

Spark Protection -- Medium Duty
For general high temperature and cutting applications that require the proficiency of protection that our Weld-O-Glass materials can provide. Made from durable, tested and coated fiberglass fabrics, high-temperature blankets and shields from Wilson will perform the job.

Our 906, 2600 and 3000R fabrics are designed to give protection from sparks, spatter and minimal slag generated from a fabrication activity. Our specially coated fabric acts as a long-lasting high temperature aid.

Wilson Industries suggests the use of our high-temperature blanket products in multiple layers for safety and protection.

Molten Metal Protection – Heavy Duty
Our best heat protection for heavy duty, high-temperature cutting and gouging activities that require the maximum protection available. Wilson Industries manufactures high-temperature blanket products from specially treated Silica cloth for these applications.
