Welding Blankets & Welding Rolling Stock

Wilson’s Welding Blankets provide protection from sparks, spatter and slag generated by welding or metal-cutting applications. Our blankets are made to size from a variety of heat-resistant materials. Wilson continues to search for asbestos replacements by pioneering the use of the latest fiberglass fabrics.

All Wilson Weld-O-Glass fabric and material can be made to measure or can be acquired as roll stock. We are committed to solving our customers’ safety challenges. Our top-notch customer service team has the knowledge and experience to help you make the right decision today.

How to select the right Weld-O-Glass fabric for the job
The proper selection of a welding blanket material depends on factors including durability, melting temperature, weight, abrasion resistance and workability. The application helps determine the right welding blanket for successful protection.

Our research and experience has helped us categorize the most proficient materials for different applications. We stock more than 24 materials to fit your needs:
Products for protection from sparks and
minimal spatter (light duty)
Products for protection from sparks and heavy
spatter (medium duty)
Products for protection from molten slag
generated by metal cutting applications (heavy
duty)

Wilson Industries recommends the use of multiple layers of blanket material to assure maximum protection.

Spark Protection – Light Duty

When the sparks fly from a grinding or cutting application, you can count on this selection of Weld-O-Glass blankets to provide the necessary protection. Offering a working temperature protection rating up to 800 degrees, these blankets are suitable for draping equipment or for use as a vertical shield from sparks and minimal spatter.

The non-coated fiberglass materials used in the manufacture of our 1850 and 1000 series blankets provide an efficient shield when draped over equipment or flooring surfaces. Best when used on an angle incline of at least 15 degrees.

The coated fiberglass materials found in our 2000 and 3001 type blankets provide an excellent vertical screen to protect equipment and personnel from the spray of sparks.

Wilson Industries suggests the use of our welding blanket products in multiple layers for proper safety and protection.

Spark Protection - Medium Duty
General welding and cutting applications require the level of protection that our Weld-O-Glass materials can provide. Made from durable, coated fiberglass fabrics, Wilson’s welding blankets and shields will perform the job.

Our 906, 2600 and 3000R fabrics are designed to give protection from sparks, spatter and minimal slag generated from a fabrication activity. Specially coated fabric will be a long lasting welding aid.

Wilson Industries suggests the use of our welding blanket products in multiple layers for safety and protection.

Molten Metal Protection – Heavy Duty
Heavy duty welding, cutting and gouging activities require the maximum protection available. Wilson Industries manufactures high temperature blanket products from specially treated Silica cloth for these applications.

This soft, flexible fabric, resulting from a unique leaching process to remove impurities, maintains the highest temperature rating in its class. With a melting temperature rating of 3,000 degrees, this product is the best choice when heavy molten metal slag generation is a problem.

Available in 17 oz. and 35 oz. weight fabrics, the Wilson Silica cloth sets the standard for highest heat resistance in a fabricated blanket product.

Wilson Industries suggests the use of our welding blanket products in multiple layers for proper safety and protection.
