Welding Curtains

Wilson Industries originated the concept of transparent welding curtains in 1968. All of our transparent vinyl meets or exceeds the California State Fire Marshal standards. Wilson Industries’ continued development in technologically advanced materials has resulted in a range of curtain choices that will meet your particular welding and safety needs.

All Wilson fabric and material can be made to measure or acquired as roll stock. We are committed to solving our customers’ safety challenges. Our dedicated customer service team has the knowledge and experience to address your needs today.

Roll Stock and Custom Fabrication
Wilson makes custom curtains, shrouds, covers or tarps in virtually any size from our wide variety of fire resistant specialty fabrics. We electronically weld or securely sew all products to provide superior quality and long lasting protection. Cutouts, conveyor belt openings, machine shrouds, weighted hems, wind relief vents and doorways are just a few of the many custom features offered.

Glide-N-Fold Curtains
Accordion style folding curtains offer a space saving configuration with a sharp, clean appearance. Sold in 24" width multiples. (Add 10 percent to widths for proper hanging)

Opaque "Rip-Stop"
Vinyl laminated polyester scrim fabric designed for added durability and strength. "Rip-Stop" is formulated to withstand heavy abrasion and abuse, while resisting oil, water and most acids. Often used in combination with See-Thru Vinyl to create a specialty curtain or partition for added visibility and strength. Available colors; yellow, green, orange, blue, black, red & white.

Canvas Material
Our canvas is medium weight, and is fire, water and mildew resistant. Also suitable for use as a heavy-duty tarp.
Note: recommended for most welding applications. Colors include green, yellow & blue.

Additional Features
Curtains are securely hemmed on all four sides by our electronic welding process, except canvas which is sewn.

Grommets are placed 8" apart on one width side and 16" apart on both height sides.

All Wilson welding curtains meet or exceed California State Fire Marshal and NFPA 701 requirements for flame resistance.

Spectra Orange Curtain
Wilson Spectra Orange Curtain™ constitutes the near-ideal transparent welding curtain. Offering good visibility, it also minimizes the arc glare better than any other transparent welding curtain while reflecting usable light back into the work area. Tested by independent government agencies for proficiency, Wilson Spectra Orange was listed as "The Best in Its Class."

No other transparent welding curtain material manipulates light waves like the Spectra Curtain™. With its special patented PVC formula, Spectra absorbs, scatters and filters the light spectrum to create a safer working environment for the welder and surrounding co-workers.

Heavy-duty vinyl filters block 100% of far/near U.V. radiation and blue light arc image dispersed throughout the curtain. Materials are available in 14 mil and 40 mil thickness for the manufacture of screen panels or curtain applications. Our unique electronic hem sealing process and heavy duty PVC grommets create a stronger product than does a sewn curtain process.

Be sure to look for the distinctive Wilson trademark embossed throughout the Spectra Orange vinyl for quality assurance.

Green See-Thru
Heavy-duty translucent vinyl allows good supervision in a bright work environment. This color curtain stops far U.V. radiation and offers excellent protection from blue light. A fine choice when light from welding activity needs to be darkened for surrounding workers. Recommended for medium to medium-high amperage welding applications.

Gold (Yellow)
See-Thru

Heavy-duty vinyl stops far/near U.V. radiation. Our translucent vinyl allows excellent supervision in a bright work environment while this color curtain offers top-notch protection from U.V. radiation and blue light. Formulated to disperse light from welding arcs throughout the curtain while creating a bright work area, our gold curtain is recommended for low-to-medium amperage welding applications.

Gray See-Thru
Dark translucent vinyl for minimizing welding arc light transmittance. The Gray See-Thru is an excellent U.V. radiation and blue light inhibitor. Recommended for medium and medium high amperage welding and cutting applications.

Plasma See-Thru
Extra dark green vinyl to stop all U.V. radiation and blue light. Recommended for plasma cutting or bright welding applications.
